Who we are..."A passion for art & design has long been a part of my life. My artistic nature has been developed by my various everyday experiences combined with what I have learned from the past. I approach each event as a blank canvas that requires personal attention. Starting with an extensive consultation where I discuss your event visions, personal style & all other details important to you. In coming up with a design for a bouquet, centerpiece, or invitation, Kate's Event Artistry considers many factors such as personality, season, venue, theme, style, the surrounding architecture, the time of day, and the personality of each client.From there, inspiration rushes in..."-KateWhat we do...At Kates Event Artistry we combine creative flair along with our extensive background in visual design, and our professional approach to transform any venue into a stunning scene for your celebration. Whether you are planning a wedding, bridal / baby shower, banquet / dinner, private party, corporate gathering, reception, birthday party, graduation, or theme party, we will design the perfect setting for you and your guests. Our main focus is floral décor, stationary, table linens, chair covers, table settings along with event coordinating as an added bonus. Different from a traditional coordinator, Kate's Event Artistry offers packages to direct and manage every aspect of the décor and design of the event. From the invitations to the flowers, we create custom inspiration boards for clients in order to communicate the precise vision to be achieved. Event Packages
What we provide...DIAMOND PACKAGE: This package is for the busy couple who require assistance in planning every aspect of their wedding day. Kates Event Artistry will be involved in all aspects of planning and coordinating your wedding ceremony and reception. We will handle tasks such as budgeting, creating planning checklists, scheduling monthly progress meetings, obtaining marriage license, vendor research and contract review, scheduling and attending vendor meetings, ensuring proper invitation and wedding etiquette, attending bridal attire fittings, tracking RSVP, creating a seating chart, ceremony layout and design, creating wedding day itinerary, distributing final payments and gratuities to vendors, assisting and managing ceremony and reception set-up, and providing full on-site management of the rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. On the big day, you can rest assured that all the details are in place and your wedding is being managed.RUBY PACKAGE: This package is for the couple who have already done most of their own planning, booked some but not all vendors, and need the assistance of a wedding planner to pull together the remaining elements of their planning. Kates Event Artistry will be involved in most aspects of planning and coordinating your wedding ceremony and reception. We will assist you with tasks such as budgeting, vendor research and contract review, progress meetings, invitation and wedding etiquette, tracking RSVP, creating wedding day itinerary, assisting with ceremony and reception set-up, ceremony layout and design advice and guidance, and provide full on-site management of the rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. SAPPHIRE PACKAGE: This is our very budget friendly package also known as: "Day of" or "Month of" coordination. With this package, we start working on your wedding one month prior to the wedding day. Kates Event Artistry will be assisting you in creating an itinerary, confirming vendor obligations and services that you have already contracted, assisting with ceremony and reception set-up, and distributing final payments and gratuities to vendors. We also provide full on-site management of the rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. We work with the information you provide us to create a master plan for your wedding day.*Exact pricing of all planning services depends on the location of ceremony and reception, the number of months in advance that services are secured, and the number of guests. The final fee will be given after you receive your complimentary consultation and will not change unless additions are made to the chosen services. DESIGN PROCESS
The Design Process
GETTING TO KNOW THE BRIDE & GROOMEach wedding invitation and flower order begins with a face to face meeting or a quick talk over the phone. Our first meeting is an opportunity for us to understand the individual taste and style of our future clients.We normally ask about the special day - the reception, ceremony, theme and colors. What is the color and style of the dress, and what types of flowers you plan to include, how the bride and groom met- all the little details that count and can provide ideas for the final design.During the consultation, we'll brainstorm ideas and provide you with a quote for what we have designed during the meeting. The quote normally takes 7 days, depending on the level of customizations, availability of stock and complexity of the design.Happy with the quote and want to proceed?After you have seen your quote, a deposit to book your production time may need to be placed depending on the dates specified. Wedding flower orders are limited to one per day. As we get extremely busy, the number of invitations in production each month is also limited. This enables us to keep a high standard of work and our couples happy. If you wish to proceed, please let us know and we can arrange to send you further information pertaining to payment of the deposit as soon as possible.FLORAL DESIGN APPROVALOnce we confirm the deposit has been paid, your date is booked. Rest assured! We provide delivery, set up, take down and vase rentals if needed. As part of our standards we are always on site to ensure that the details are perfect for each event.INVITATION DESIGN APPROVALOnce we confirm the deposit has been paid, you will receive a few documents via email including wording options, font options, templates for names and addresses. This is an important stage where the bride and groom will put together their guest list and finalize all the details on the invitation.Kate's Event Artistry will present you with the digital artwork of the wedding invitation via email. This is where you read the entire invitation (don't forget to triple check!) and also get your partner and other important members of the family to go through the details. You can never be too careful!You will then have the opportunity to provide feedback and identify any changes you may wish to incorporate into the final draft.After we discuss your comments and thoughts, the changes are integrated into a revised digital proof that is sent to you for approval. Once you have approved this version, it will be signed off and we're off to print.PRINTING APPROVAL & FINAL SIGN OFFBefore printing begins you will be sent the "final digital proof" (usually by e-mail).At this time you will review and confirm that every detail is perfect: the layout, spelling, grammar and punctuation.Once you have approved the digital proof, Kate's Event Artistry is not responsible for any future changes or mistakes.Off to the Press!Once you have given final approval the project will go to the printer for production and no more changes can be done at this point.We promise that no design will go to print unless you are completely satisfied.Depending on the time frame you have agreed to in the service contract it may take between two weeks and 6 weeks (depending on the style) for you to receive the final printed products.© 2012 KATE'S EVENT ARTISTRY
